Problem

When you install Hyper-V in Microsoft Windows Server 2008, Hyper-V did not start. You got the following error messages in the event logs.
Hyper-V launch failed; Either VMX not present or not enabled in BIOS.

Solution

Re-start the server and login to BIOS. Go to Advanced > Advanced Processor Options. Enable "Intel(R) Virtualization Technology" and reboot the server. Now you should get "Hyper-V successfully started.".
