Using wildcards in expressions
Expressions containing wildcards used by NTTacPlus (for instance in the Port= or CallerID= fields or in the allowed command parameter configuration) use the following special characters:
Character Meaning
* Zero or more characters
? Any single character
[<a>-<b>] Any single character between <a> and <b> (for instance [2-9] means figures between 2 and 9)
\* The literal character *
\? The literal character ?
\[ The literal character [
\\ The literal character \
If you place a leading refuse character (“!”) in your wildcard expression, you are telling NTTacPlus to refuse the entire expression instead of accepting it in case of match.
For example with the following command in the Port field:
Port=!Async4,Async[1-8],Serial*
NTTacPlus will accept the Async ports from 1 to 8 and all Serial ports, refusing connection on Async port 4.
