سلام دوستان خواستم یکم درمورد کارت شبکه pxe بدونم زیاد تو اینترنت من پیدا نکردم که فقط برای سرویسهای خاصی به کار میره یا کارایی دیگه هم داره ؟!!!!!

The PXE protocol is approximately a combination of DHCP and TFTP, albeit with subtle modifications to both. DHCP is used to locate the appropriate boot server or servers, with TFTP used to download the initial bootstrap program and additional files.

When using PXE the boot process is changed from the normal order to:
Power on –> BIOS –> Network Card’s PXE stack –> Network Boot Program (NBP) downloaded using TFTP from server to Client’s RAM –> NBP’s responsibility to perform the next step (a.k.a. 2nd stage boot).

Short for Pre-Boot Execution Environment. Pronounced pixie, PXE is one of the components of Intel's WfM specification. It allows aworkstation to boot from a server on a network prior to booting theoperating system on the localhard drive. A PXE-enabled workstation connects its NIC to the LAN via a jumper, which keeps the workstation connected to the network even when the power is off. Because a network administrator does not have to physically visit the specific workstation and manually boot it, operating systems and other software, such as diagnostic programs, can be loaded onto the device from a server over the network.
