Error 3355 and 27745 after moving all databases from an SQL 2005 to anothe

This normally occurs when a site collection or a content database is moved from one web application to another without running the Preparetomove (Preparetomove: Stsadm operation (Office SharePoint Server)) command first.

To resolve the issue we can run "stsadm -o sync -deleteolddatabases n". It deletes old records corresponding to these databases that have not been synchronized since n days. It does not delete the databases themselves.
