کانال که مشخص هست یک فرکانس معین در رنج معین تعینن می شه و به اون یک کانال می گن
[B]beacon interval[/B]
When a wirelessly networked device sends a beacon, it includes with it a beacon interval, which specifies the period of time before it will send the beacon again. The interval tells receiving devices on the network how long they can wait in low-power mode before waking up to handle the beacon. Network managers can adjust the beacon interval, usually measured in milliseconds (ms) or its equivalent, kilomicroseconds (Kmsec).
[B]RTS/CTS[/B] (Request to Send / Clear To Send) is the mechanism used by the [URL="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/802.11"]802.11[/URL] wireless networking protocol to reduce frame collisions introduced by the [URL="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hidden_terminal_problem"]hidden terminal problem[/URL] and [URL="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Exposed_node_problem"]exposed node problem[/URL].
[B]Protocol Description[/B]
A [URL="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Node_%28networking%29"]node[/URL] wishing to send data initiates the process by sending a Request to Send [URL="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stack_frame"]frame[/URL] (RTS). The destination node replies with a Clear To Send frame (CTS). Any other node receiving the CTS frame should refrain from sending data for a given time (solving the [URL="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hidden_node_problem"]hidden node problem[/URL]). The amount of time the node should wait before trying to get access to the medium is included in both the RTS and the CTS frame. Any other node receiving the RTS frame but not the CTS frame is permitted to transmit to other neighboring nodes (solving the [URL="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Exposed_node_problem"]exposed node problem[/URL]). This protocol was designed under the assumption that all nodes have the same transmission range.
RTS/CTS is an additional method to implement [I]virtual carrier sensing[/I] in [URL="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Carrier_sense_multiple_access_with_collision_avoidance"]Carrier sense multiple access with collision avoidance[/URL] (CSMA/CA). By default, [URL="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/802.11"]802.11[/URL] relies on [I]physical carrier sensing[/I] only which is known to suffer from the [URL="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hidden_node_problem"]hidden node problem[/URL].
RTS/CTS packet size threshold is 0-2347 [URL="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Octets"]octets[/URL]. Typically, sending RTS frames is turned off by default (threshold >=2347). If the packet size the node wants to transmit is larger than the threshold, the RTS/CTS handshake gets triggered. If the packet size is equal to or less than threshold the data frame gets sent immediately.
[B]DTIM[/B] stands for [B]Delivery Traffic Indication Message[/B].
A DTIM is a kind of [URL="http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Traffic_Indication_Message%28TIM%29&action=edit"]Traffic Indication Message(TIM)[/URL] which [B]informs[/B] the clients about the presence of [B]buffered[/B] and/or [B]multicast/broadcast data[/B] on the [URL="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Access_Point"]Access Point[/URL]. It is generated after every DTIM period specified in the beacon. Normal [URL="http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Traffic_Indication_Message%28TIM%29&action=edit"]Traffic Indication Message(TIM)s[/URL] that are present in every beacon are for signalling the presence of unbuffered unicast data. After a DTIM, the access point will send the multicasted/broadcasted data on the channel following the normal channel access rules. Beacons are packets sent by an Access Point to synchronize a wireless network. برای فارسی دیگه چاکرتیم ترجمه اینها کار سختیه ولی نیازی نیست که شما تغییری در پیش فرض اونها بدید
