So you have received a PowerPoint presentation from your friend which you are unable to open it in your system because you don’t have Power Point installed in your system. Or you may not be able to open the presentation because the presentation was created using Microsoft Office 2010 suite and you have only lower editions in your system like Office XP, 2003, or 2007.
To tackle this situation, Microsoft has released PowerPoint Viewer and it is available for free download. It lets you view full-featured presentations created in PowerPoint 97 and later versions. This viewer also supports opening password-protected Microsoft PowerPoint presentations. This is a only a viewer. It cannot be used to edit PowerPoint presentations.
