آیا راهی وجود داره که دو Storage مجزا رو، روی یک سیستم به عنوان یک Partition استفاده نمود ؟
منظورت این است که مثلا اگر دو هارد دیسک داری که هر کدام 100 گیگ ظرفیت دارند، یک Partition ایجاد کنی که 200 گیگ ظرفیت داشته باشد؟
باید هر دو دیسک را از Basic به Dynamic تبدیل (Convert) کرد و سپس یک Spanned Partition ایجاد کرد.
انواع Partition در Dynamic Disk:

Not fault-tolerant but can be mirrored.[*][COLOR=Green][B]Spanned Volume[/B] - A dynamic volume that uses disk space on more than one physical disk. If there is more than one dynamic disk the size of the spanned volume can be increased by extending it onto the additional dynamic disk.[/COLOR][*][B]Striped Volume [/B]- A dynamic volume that stores data in stripes across two or more physical hard drives. Striped volumes are noted for very fast performance but the downside, which can be substantial, is that if one of the disks in the stripe set fails the entire volume is lost.[*][B]Mirrored Volume [/B]- A volume that duplicates the data on two physical disks. The identical volumes are called mirrors. Since the data is mirrored on a different disk, if one disk fails the system will switch to the mirror and remain functional. Mirrored volumes are also fault-tolerant.[*][B]RAID-5 Volume[/B] - This is a bit of a departure from the other types of volumes in that it requires at least three hard disks to implement, but basically it consists of data and parity sets that are striped across multiple hard disks. If one of the disks in a RAID-5 volume fails, XP can recreate the failed portion by using the data and parity information from the remaining disks in the volume.[/LIST]

بله دقیقا همین هدف را دنبال میکنم؛
اینجا روش کار گفته شده :

اما در قسمت نکات؛ چیزهایی دیدم که فکر میکنم کار رو کمی مشکل کنه؛
در واقع در یک شبکه متوسط، تعدادی کلاینت (حدود 50) از قبل وجود داره که هارد دیسک اونها 250 گیگابایت در نظر گرفته شده . بعدها در این شبکه، 50کلاینت جدید اضافه شد که ظرفیت هارد دیسک اونها 500گیگابایت بود، به مرور تعداد کاربران و نرم افزار های مورد نیاز افزایش یافت تا اینجا که به حدود 400گیگابایت فضا برای نرم افزار ها و فضای خالی نیاز داریم.
تضمیم گرفتیم برای جلوگیری از صرف هزینه، 25کلاینت قدیمی را با استفاده از 50 هارد دیسک های 250گیگابایتی قبلی، بصورت دوتایی (مجموع دو هارد => 500گیگابایت) استفاده کنیم . با این حساب، فقط برای نیمی از سیستم ها نیاز به خرید وجود خواهد داشت.
برای سهولت نصب و راه اندازی نرم افزار ها نیز، از ابزار هایی همچون Acronis True image استفاده میشود که اطلاعات روی یک هارد دیسک را، عینا بر روی یک هارد دیسک دیگر مینویسد.
در این خصوص، آیا با استفاده از Spanned Volume ، قابلیت استفاده از نرم افزار هایی همچون Acronis از بین نمیرود ؟
